Home Information Packs (HIPS)

Legislation came into force on 6th April 2009 stating that all residential properties require a HIP (Home Inspection Pack) prior to the first day of marketing.

Although there are a few exceptions, such as properties without vacant possession, unsafe properties, park homes or properties to be demolished the vast majority of homes will require a HIP if they are to be sold.

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC)

Energy Performance Regulations confirms that an EPC needs to be produced for all properties that are sold or rented, including private sales & rentals from the 1st October 2008.
